Become a Canine Champion and Raise a Middle Claw to Pet Prejudice at The Petgevity Games

Do you have a senior pooch with victory still in their bones? An arthritically challenged pet with a warrior’s attitude?

We’re inviting dogs of all shapes, sizes, and abilities to join us for The Petgevity Games from 27 – 29 Aug 2021. It’s an inclusive animal sporting event that’s being held at the popular Bath & West Country Festival.

What are The Petgevity Games?

An op-paw-tunity for each and every dog to get involved? That’s right – we’re all about supporting the underdog.

The well-established sporting events are great and all, but we thought it was about time Tazzie the three-legged Boxer and Bertie the one-eyed Pug got a chance to show off their athletic skills.

We’ve worked closely with world-class agility coaches to create an unforgettable and fully accessible experience for all; this includes our beloved older pups, disabled dogs, and those with pre-existing conditions.

What can my dog do on the day?

We’ve set up a range of events to accommodate our less-abled pets, from jumpless jumps to scent-based fetch. If your dog is excited to get involved, we’re ready to welcome them to our paralympic-style games, held at one of the UK’s best-loved country shows.

Your pet may just want to have a go on the course, and that’s cool with us. Any dog wishing to compete can enjoy a practice round before putting their best paw forward and entering the time trial.

And, of course, everyone who takes part in the time trial will be awarded with a medal, because they’re all champions in our eyes.

What else is happening at The Petgevity Games?

Alongside our awesome agility course, we’re bringing along legendary cricket commentator Henry Bloefeld OBE (Blowers) on the first day to give his purr-fessional commentary on the competitors. We’re expecting lots of fun and hilarity!

Will there be any experts around on the day?

Here’s another exciting part – TV vet Dr Scott Miller is joining us on the Friday! Industry-leading dog trainers will also be on hand across the event to give you their knowledge and expertise. If you’re a dog owner, this is the paw-fect chance to get advice on your pup. These pet experts have also advised us on the creation of The Petgevity Games course to make sure it’s as safe and fun as possible.

If you and your best canine buddy would like to join us at The Petgevity Games, please email [email protected]. Let us know your and your pet’s names, as well as which day of the event you would like to attend. We’ll then reach out to you with available times and confirm if you’ve secured a spot.

If your entry is accepted, you will receive free entry to The Bath & West Country Festival, alongside fellow dog-lovers from around the UK.
